Last weekend we celebrated Thanksgiving in Saskatoon. Crazy, but it's starting to feel kind of normal celebrating early. American Thanksgiving always seems weird here because everybody is working and I just want to sit around and watch football. There are a few stores here that do Black Friday sales, but I digress...
This year, our American friends, The Harty's, came to visit us for the long weekend. We have known Nate and Tena from our days in Georgia (and Wichita too), and now they are just 4.5 hours away in Camrose, Alberta. They have 3 boys...Cael (4), Breck (almost 3), and Tyce (just turned 1). It was a very busy, very loud house for a few days, but it was so much fun! The kids all got along great which made up for the volume and chaos.
We wanted to do some fall activities while they were visiting so we went to our favorite place to enjoy the season and take photos...The Berry Barn. We also hit up Robertson Valley Farm's pumpkin patch, but by that point, the kids had had enough of the "fall activities" so it was a pretty quick stop. Glad we took the group shot at the beginning of that stop!

We also had a little 1st birthday party for Tyce! He loved that card! And Kian loved all the wrapping paper!

We celebrated Thanksgiving on Sunday night (even though Monday was the holiday) with a big meal. We decided that we didn't have enough people in our house, so we invited some more American's (Wes and Carla Briggs) over to celebrate with us. It was a very American Canadian Thanksgiving. Two of the twelve in attendance have dual citizenship, but that's as Canadian as this group got. We all had a great time...so thankful to be able to celebrate with great friends. It makes all the difference when you live so far away from "home".
